I like to consider myself a huge
horror buff, however, I was not always this way. I actually used to be
absolutely terrified of anything scary whatsoever. This was back when I watched
under a minute of Hellraiser and had
nightmares for weeks. But thanks to some reconditioning thanks to my sister, I
have been cured of my phobia for many years! Horror is now my go-to genre and I
love everything about it!
Nowadays, the dark themes that permeate the horror genre molds my likes everywhere, including my reading and TV watching. I love dark books and TV shows. I am currently falling in love with Penny Dreadful and new Showtime show. I will honestly watch or read anything that is dark and/or macabre. I love it! Horror has absolutely made me the gal I am today and I really don't think I'd be as fun if it weren't for the genre. Weird, I know.
Anyway, here are my current TOP 10 favorite horror films:
1. A Nightmare on Elm Street (Wes Craven, 1984)
2. Cabin in the Woods (Joss Whedon, 2012)
3. The Last House on the Left (Wes Craven, 1972)
4. Killer Klowns from Outer Space (Stephen Chiodo, 1988)
5. Hansel & Gretel Get Baked (Duane Journey, 2013)
6. Let the Right One In (Tomas Alfredson, 2006)
7. Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (Eli Craig, 2010)
8. Slither (James Gunn, 2006)
9. Doghouse (Jake West, 2009)
10. Insidious (James Wan, 2010)
That's about it for me. I read, I write, I watch a lot of horror films. Oh, and I sleep an awful lot. Thanks for taking time out of your busy life to check out my blog(s) however way in which you found it/them.
